This term, we’ve been really encouraged by the number of young people choosing to step into serving roles across the wider life of the church. It’s been a real joy to see their willingness to give their time and energy, and to watch their confidence grow as they get involved.
In particular, on a Friday night at Warm Welcome Friday, the young people have become an integral part of the evening. They’re not just turning up—they’re taking ownership. From helping with setup and greeting people at the door, to cooking, serving food, washing up, and tidying at the end, they are involved in almost every part of the evening. Their presence brings energy, warmth, and a real sense of community.
What has been especially encouraging is their eagerness to serve and the way they are learning through it. They’re developing practical skills, building relationships with people of all ages, and discovering what it means to be part of a church family that looks out for one another and seeks to extend the welcome and message of Jesus to the local community. It’s been wonderful to see the young people grow through meaningful acts of service, helping them discern and develop the gifts God has given them.
We’re loving seeing the difference they are making and the way God is using them to bless the ministry and everyone who comes along each week. It’s a reminder that young people are not just the future of the church—they are a vital part of its life and mission right now.
