Flex Conference 2026 Resources

Thank you so much for joining us at Flex Conference this year. We had such a good time exploring the theme of what it means for our church to be truly intergenerational.

We wanted to make sure that the end of the conference wasn’t the end of the impact of what was shared, so this page was created to give you the chance to look back at some of what was shared and to access further resources that were talked about or promoted within the sessions on the day.

Main Session Video content from Rachel Turner

We are working on the videos from Rachel Turner so you can view them again here – watch this space!

Images from Andy – Drawn out meetings

We were so grateful to be joined for the day by Andy and Reuben Gray from Drawn Out Meetings, who produced a series of drawings for us documenting each of the sessions in the Main Venue. He has also produced this fabulous summary of the day that captures our day together and the incredible teaching that took place.

If you now have the bug for learning, why not check out our Pick and Mix youth and children modules on our Pathways Learning platform? You complete them at your own pace, in your own time, and there are lots to choose from. Here are a few that you might find interesting after the Flex Conference:

Leading Young Leaders: This module offers a great opportunity to explore why we choose to invest in young leaders and how we can effectively lead them, equip them, and release them into their full potential in Christ.

Prayer Spaces in Schools: This module will lead you through step by step, enabling you to plan and run your own prayer space with ready-made prayer space packs for you to download and use.

Reviewing your youth and children’s work: This module will lead you through step by step, enabling you to plan and run your own prayer space with ready-made prayer space packs for you to download and use.

Thinking Theologically about your Children’s & Youth Ministry: Helping you think theologically about your children’s and youth work using questions such as ‘Where is God at work here?’ and ‘What’s next for us and our ministry?’

Beginning a Journey in Spirituality: This module explores exercises and tools designed to help you deepen and increase your connection with God through your everyday life.

If you would like to do a bit more and build your foundations in youth and children’s work, have a look at Flex Foundations:

Foundations seeks to equip you in your work with children and young people, enabling you to be more confident in the work that God has called you to.

This six-month programme is available in two routes (Children’s and Youth) and is delivered through self-guided online learning. It aims to give you foundational knowledge to support your work.

This programme is structured into four groups: Their World, The Children’s/Youth Worker, Issue-Based, and Unlocking Their Potential. Each consists of bitesize modules ranging from 15 to 30 minutes of learning and covers topics such as: Faith Development, Teamwork, Growing Up Digital, Listening Skills, and Including and Supporting Children and Young People with Additional Needs.

There are two intakes a year, in April and October – you can pick the one you would like to be part of.

This programme is for you if: you are new to children’s and youth work, you haven’t had time to do any training for a while, and/or you are a helper within the children’s and youth work in your church context
